How to get to my place

By subway and PATH

The closest station to my home is the Newport-Pavonia station of the PATH trains. You can take a direct train from 33rd St. Station in Manhattan. A PATH ride costs USD 1.00 and takes about 10-15 minutes. Trains ride 24 hours a day. From Newport-Pavonia station it is about 3 blocks walk.

A word about safety

This area in New Jersey is completely safe. Security personnel is active and most buildings, including mine, have a doorman.

On foot

From the Pavonia-Newport PATH station

After the escalators in the Newport-Pavonia station you take the left doors out of the station building. Outside you take a right and follow the street for about 200 yards. There you will find two red brick 34-story apartment buildings. My apartment building is named 'James Madison' and has number 40 on it. Take the elevator to the 14th floor to apartment 1406.

By taxi

Tell the driver to take the Holland tunnel. After the tunnel take the first left. Go straight ahead and you will pass a large parking garage on your left side. After the parking garage take the first left and at the lights a left again. Follow the street about 200 yards past the Newport-Pavonia PATH station, where you will see two red brick 34-story apartment buildings on the right side.
From midtown Manhattan it's about a 22 dollar ride including tips and tolls and it takes about 10 minutes depending on the traffic.

By car

Driving to Jersey City is easy and there is plenty of parking space. Just follow these directions.
